Since then, we have been working on analog field recordings with Ampex 601 and RCA 77DX so that we are able to capture every single detail of the performance by musicians in good ol\u2019 way. Our recordings include bunch of legends such as <strong>Lee Sexton, R.L. This record,<strong><em> Say You Don\u2019t Love Me: The Last Recordings of David Kimbrough Jr.<\/em><\/strong> is literally his last field recording works with Dolceola Recordings, a music label focused on documenting American traditional music in analog field recording with a portable reel-to-reel Ampex 601 and a ribbon microphone RCA 77DX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch the trailer:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/80-izh3YSao\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/80-izh3YSao<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pre-order here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/lnkfi.re\/R9oyHnA2?fbclid=IwAR1dCpjRbF2g0Wq7cun0Yt7XKTAfNfXHYhCflX10umxq1B3lha6z_b7GWso\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/lnkfi.re\/R9oyHnA2<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recorded at his house in <strong>Holly Springs<\/strong>, October 2017, the album includes some of Junior Kimbrough\u2019s master pieces such as \u201cMeet Me in the City,\u201d \u201cDone Got Old\u201d and \u201cLord Have Mercy on Me,\u201d David Kimbrough\u2019s own compositions, and a previously unpublished song written by Junior Kimbrough, \u201cSay You Don\u2019t Love Me.\u201d Kimbrough learned this song from his father, and tells us the story on this record why his father wrote this song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Says <strong>Robert Kimbrough Sr.<\/strong>, a younger brother of David, \u201cThere\u2019s nobody else in the world I would rather play with him. We knew one and another; we were on the same page. We were all Cotton Patch Soul Blues boys, carrying this music on, singing this music, my dad Junior Kimbrough\u2019s music and writing our own music\u2014you know there\u2019s a lot, but we enjoyed it. \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Says <strong>Adrian Pinson<\/strong>, a longtime producer and manager with David: \u201cI hope that one day people would realize the talent David Kimbrough had. He had just a great talent and one day people get to see it.
