Today the Mississippi Department of Health<\/strong> (MSDH) is reporting 957 new cases of COVID-19<\/strong> in Mississippi <\/strong>and 44 new deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 32,214, with 1,158 deaths.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently there are 648 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 237 people hospitalized for suspected COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

33 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 104 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
