Today the Mississippi Department of Health<\/strong> (MSDH) is reporting 611 new cases of COVID-19<\/strong> in Mississippi <\/strong>and 11 new deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 22,898, with 989 deaths.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently there are 489 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

31 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 82 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
