Today Mississippi State Department of Health<\/strong> is reporting 262 new cases of COVID-19<\/strong> in Mississippi<\/strong> and 22 new deaths (including 9 from prior weeks identified through death certificate investigation). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 8,686, with 396 deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

29 of the new cases reported today were among residents in long-term care facilities, and there are now 114 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
