Trey proudly pulled the long-ish carrots from the ground, and I lovingly harvested and carried the Swiss chard over my arm to the kitchen. We carefully washed, chopped, saut\u00e9ed, and poached our first homegrown meal together. Since then, it\u2019s become a staple at our house.
