He was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and given a bond of $2,500 by a Justice Court Judge. This was an ongoing investigation from the following release that was sent on 1\/10\/2020:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>On Tuesday, December 31, 2019, the Oxford Police Department took a walk in report of false pretenses. The victim alleged that <strong>Shanterica Gillard<\/strong> (22 of Oxford, Mississippi) falsely advertised an apartment for sublease. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The victim made arrangements with Gillard and paid $805.00 for the deposit and rent. Gillard took the money and informed the victim he had been scammed. During a recorded conversation, Gillard falsely identified herself as an employee of the Oxford Police Department. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>An arrest warrant was issued for felony false pretenses, conspiracy to commit a crime, and impersonating a police officer. On January 5, 2020, she was arrested and booked at the Lafayette County Detention Center.
