The Small Hall<\/strong> concert series has partnered with Pop Up Oxford Festival<\/strong> to host the third annual Songwriters Contest and Showcase<\/strong>. The event will kick off the Pop Up Oxford Festival by celebrating regional songwriters and performers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Small Hall Songwriters Contest & Showcase provides songwriters an opportunity to submit their work for review, with the top ten being selected for the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prizes for the contest:<\/strong>
First Place: $500 & Cameo Spot on Thacker Mountain Radio
(based on mutually agreed upon dates for live performance)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Place: $250
Third Place: $100<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance Prize:<\/strong>
A paid booking at the LOU Summer Sunset Series (must be available 1st Sunday in June 2020)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audience Award: <\/strong>
A $50 award will be determined by vote from the audience as to their favorite song of the Showcase<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finalist Prize: <\/strong>
Oxford Recording Studio recording session
Deadline: Monday, January, 6, 2020
Notification: Finalists will be notified by: January 10, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contest & Showcase:<\/strong>
Saturday, January 18, 2020 7 pm-9 pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Small Hall:<\/strong>
The Small Hall is a event space that hosts listening room concerts and literary events. The intimate space offers a unique space for live music experiences to connect songwriters with music enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry Fee:<\/strong>
Singer-songwriter may submit one song for $15 or two songs for $25. Entrance fee is nonrefundable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If more than one song is submitted, finalist will be notified of which song is considered for the contest<\/p>\n\n\n\n
