{"id":80359,"date":"2019-10-07T08:40:35","date_gmt":"2019-10-07T13:40:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=80359"},"modified":"2019-10-09T12:16:22","modified_gmt":"2019-10-09T17:16:22","slug":"oxford-mississippi-man-arrested-for-third-dui","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/oxford-mississippi-man-arrested-for-third-dui\/","title":{"rendered":"Oxford, Mississippi Man Arrested for Third DUI"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Sunday, September 29, 2019, at approximately 1:50 am, an officer with the <strong>Oxford Police Department<\/strong> was at the Chevron at the corner of <strong>University Avenue<\/strong> and <strong>South Lamar Boulevard<\/strong> when he noticed a vehicle parked almost right up against the front doors of the business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The clerk told the officer that it wasn\u2019t a parking spot and that it should move so customers could get in. When the officer made contact with the person behind the wheel he noticed that the driver, <strong>Richard Ward<\/strong> (36 of <strong>Oxford<\/strong>, <strong>Mississippi<\/strong>), was possibly under the influence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A DUI investigation was started at that time. During the stop, officers learned that Ward at least two prior DUI convictions.
