Ole Miss Hoops Event Back on the Oxford Square<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Ole Miss<\/strong> Men\u2019s<\/strong> and Women\u2019s Basketball<\/strong> teams will partner with the City of Oxford<\/strong> to host the sixth Square Jam<\/strong> presented by Oxford Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine<\/strong> on the Oxford Square<\/strong> on Friday, October 18<\/strong>. Festivities are set to begin at 6:30 pm and will be emceed by ESPN host Jimmy Dykes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rebels <\/strong>will showcase their skills on a basketball court with lights set up on the east side of the Square in the parking lot in front of City Hall. Fans will get to see the teams participate in player introductions, a dunk contest, and other interactive fan contests with student-athletes from the Rebel hoops teams. For the second year, members of the Rebel Kids Club <\/strong>that are age six or younger can sign up for a chance to showcase their dunking skills in the Kids Dunk Contest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, both teams will be signing autographs after the event, which will be held the night before the Ole Miss Football<\/strong> team plays host to Texas A&M<\/strong> on October 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pride of the South<\/strong> basketball band will be in attendance, and new enhancements to the fan experience this year include a new videoboard, lighting, and effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ole Miss women\u2019s basketball team will begin its 2019\u201320 season with an exhibition against Clark Atlanta on Friday, November 1 inside The Pavilion<\/strong> at Ole Miss, while the men will tip off Monday, November 4 in a home exhibition vs. Mississippi College. The Rebel women open the regular season at home the next day (Tuesday, November 5) against Mississippi Valley State, while the Rebel men open against Arkansas State on Friday, November 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
