In\nyour experience, what is the most common reason to have a drink?<\/strong> <\/strong>Because it\u2019s the end of the work day, whatever time that is.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s\nyour favorite ingredient or flavor combination? <\/strong>My favorite ingredient by far is Green Chartreuse. I am also a\nhuge rum lover. Lately, I have been really enjoying bourbon, honey, and lemon\nwith different varieties of amaro and bitters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\nis your most essential bar tool? <\/strong>A jigger. Not\nfor portion control, but for regulation of proper ratios so that cocktails are\nbalanced.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where\u2019s your favorite spot to sip? <\/strong>The Blind Pig and Snackbar<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\nare your personal specialties<\/strong>? <\/strong>Last Word variations. I also\nlike to play with shrubs a lot.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Craziest request by a customer? <\/strong>In the last few weeks, ghosts of drinks from the 80\u2019s. Like a red\nheaded slut and a bahama mama<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\ndrink do you recommend to someone who doesn\u2019t know what to order? <\/strong>First, the daily $5 special. Then I\u2019lI give them a cocktail menu\nand a draft beer list, ask them what type of flavors they like and go from\nthere.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most\nfamous customer you\u2019ve ever served<\/strong>: <\/strong>Sugar Ray\nLeonard, Mike Tyson, Alonzo Mourning, Dr. Dre, Kobe Bryant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If\nyou could have a drink with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and what\nwould you drink<\/strong>? <\/strong>I would drink juicy, high\nabv IPAs and take shots of chartreuse with Jesus and pick his brain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re in charge of the tunes in your bar, what music do you play? <\/strong>If I\u2019m in charge of the music at my bar I\u2019m playing old school and east coast hip hop, some funk, some reggae, some R&B, some world tunes, some alternative. Anything upbeat and lively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best joke to tell to a grumpy customer: <\/strong>Gotta feel \u2018em out, first<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s\nthe funniest thing you\u2019ve seen in your bar lately? <\/strong>There are two glass doors that lead to the upstairs patio. Some\nkids were on the porch dancing and getting loose while looking at their reflection,\nunaware that anyone could see them on the other side. Hilarious.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite\nafter-shift drink? <\/strong>Guinness and a Jameson shot<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where would you be if you weren\u2019t behind a bar? <\/strong>I would be some sort of public speaker or the leader of a youth organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
