Arts Festival: Landshark Delivery Stage \u2013 Futurebirds"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> The inaugural&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/missihippi.com\/\">MissiHippi Music &amp; Arts Festival<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;will take place&nbsp;<strong>August 24, 2019<\/strong> at&nbsp;<strong>Foxfire Ranch<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Waterford, Miss.<\/strong>&nbsp;The first festival of its kind in North Mississippi, MissiHippi is much more than just a back-to-school bash\u2014it will feature an incredibly diverse lineup of multiple genres, including rock, funk, hip-hop, EDM, indie, and soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.landsharkdelivery.com\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Landshark-Banner-2018.jpg?resize=244%2C105\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-48217\" width=\"244\" height=\"105\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The <strong>Landshark Delivery Stage<\/strong> will have nonstop music starting 12:15 pm, including a 9:05 pm set by <strong>Futurebirds<\/strong>. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/magiccityhippies\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/futurebirds\" target=\"_blank\">Listen here<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n<p><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/He1xRFuMHNk\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n<p>The music is a patchwork amalgam of influences, including: twangy Southern rock (they&#8217;ve opened for the <strong>Drive-By Truckers<\/strong>), reverb-soaked psychedelia reminiscent of early <strong>My Morning Jacket<\/strong> or fellow Athens residents <strong>Phosphorescent<\/strong>, soaring guitar solos \u00e0 la <strong>Neil Young &amp; Crazy Horse<\/strong>, rhythmic jangle from that other Athens band, <strong>REM<\/strong>, multi-part vocal harmonies (which every band ought to have, dammit), and, weaving through it all, lyrical slide guitar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more about MissiHippi Music &amp;
