Inaugural arts festival aims for a diverse lineup of musicians and artists.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural MissiHippi Music & Arts Festival<\/a><\/strong> <\/a>is taking place August 24, 2019<\/strong> (the Saturday before Ole Miss fall classes begin) at Foxfire Ranch<\/strong> in Waterford, Miss.<\/strong>, just 25 minutes north of Oxford<\/strong>. MissiHippi, the first festival of its kind in North Mississippi, is much more than just a back-to-school bash. It features an incredibly diverse lineup of multiple genres, including rock, funk, hip-hop, EDM, indie, and soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mississippi is a state known for its rich musical history. On their website, www.MissiHippi.com<\/a>, the festival organizers state that their \u201cultimate goal is for Mississippi to not only be the Birthplace of America\u2019s Music, but also the pinnacle of America\u2019s music! We will do this by providing unforgettable experiences at our events while also empowering the next generation of Mississippi musicians. We will donate a portion of our profits to furthering the music education of Mississippi youths by donating to Mississippi public schools to buy new instruments, offering scholarships to music camps, and much more.\u201d By attending MissiHippi Fest<\/strong>, you are doing more than just experiencing a music festival; you\u2019re directly impacting a child\u2019s life. And maybe that child will go on to headline a festival like MissiHippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MissiHippi Fest hopes to provide attendees with an experience impactful\nenough to extend beyond the fences of Foxfire Ranch. By creating a sense of\ncommunity and appreciation of music and the arts, especially for the incredibly\ntalented Mississippi artists, they hope attendees will carry their experience\nwith them for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doors will open at 11:30 am, and there will be nonstop live\nmusic from 15 bands on two stages until 1:30 am. The MissiHippi activities\nschedule features multiple live art exhibits showcasing some of the South\u2019s\nmost talented artists. The artists will be creating murals that will be\nastonishing works of art, while providing Insta-worthy photo ops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hot Yoga Plus<\/strong> will be offering three yoga classes in the exclusive HYP shaded lounge at 2:25 pm, 3:50 pm, and 6:55 pm. And in case you end up with the munchies, there will be food options featuring the region\u2019s favorite food trucks from Memphis<\/strong> to Jackson<\/strong>, including some local Oxford favorites. Of course, MissiHippi will provide a hydration station with free water so you can stay hydrated! Near the hydration station will be a 20\u2019x10\u2019 misting tent to keep you cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsors include local and national businesses, with Oxford\u2019s\nown Landshark Delivery<\/strong> sponsoring\nthe main stage. VIP sponsor Hempville\nCBD<\/strong> will also be a vendor at the festival. White Claw<\/strong>, Bud Light<\/strong>, Michelob Ultra<\/strong>, and Bon &<\/strong> Viv<\/strong> are official sponsors, so whether you\u2019re a White Claw\nenthusiast or just want a cold beer, your thirst will not be left unquenched. For those interested in taking a piece of MissiHippi home\nwith them, there will be art vendors from throughout the Southeast selling\noriginal work, and MissiHippi will have a variety of merchandise available,\nincluding shirts, posters, stickers, and koozies (or huggies if you\u2019re hip).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three types of tickets are available: General Admission for\n$45 (though price will increase as the festival nears), VIP for $135, and\nPlatinum VIP for $235. Transportation options to and from Foxfire Ranch are available\nat https:\/\/missihippifest.eventbrite.com<\/a>, where you can purchase a shuttle pass for $10, a parking pass for\n$15, or a camping pass for $25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VIP tickets include access to the exclusive VIP viewing area\nnear the front of the main stage with a private bar and other amenities. VIPs\nwill also have a separate entrance to the festival grounds and exclusive VIP\nrestrooms. The VIP option also includes a VIP badge and lanyard, wristband, and\nSwag Box. VIPs will also have the option to choose a shuttle pass OR a parking\npass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who wish to experience MissiHippi in luxurious style will\nwant Platinum VIP option. Platinum VIP includes all VIP perks listed above,\nplus access to an exclusive shaded viewing area near the front of the main\nstage with a private bar, five free drinks per person over 21, catering, a\nstock tank pool, and Platinum VIP badge, lanyard, wristband, and Swag Box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
