\"\"Jimmy Reidy<\/strong> is from Oxford, and his Dad has been a teacher at OHS for 20 years.\u00a0Jimmy has worked at Volta Taverna for about a year, where he is considered part of their family.\u00a0He is always polite, positive, and happy go lucky.\u00a0The Saturday morning before spring break, he was play wrestling with his friend and landed wrong.\u00a0He broke his neck in two spots, and three of his\u00a0vertebra got knocked out of alignment.\u00a0After being picked up by the ambulance, he was airlifted to the Medical Regional Hospital in Memphis where he remained in ICU for seven days.\u00a0He can only move his left leg, and recently has obtained minimal movement in his left arm.\u00a0He does not have any motion in the rest of his body. He had surgery on Monday, May 19, and his family said he is in a lot of pain right now.\u00a0Once he is released from the hospital, he\u2019ll be going into a rehab program to try and regain movement in the rest of his body.\u00a0We are trying to raise as much money as we can to help him pay for his hospital bills and for his rehab program.\u00a0It is going to be a long recovery for Jimmy, but we are confident that he will get through this.<\/p>\n

Volta Taverna will be holding a benefit concert for Jimmy on Thursday, April 12th at Ajax Diner starting at 10 pm.<\/strong>\u00a0There will also be a raffle with prizes for people to enter that night.\u00a0The concert will feature: DJ Dent May<\/strong>, Dead Gaze<\/strong>, and Young Buffalo<\/strong>.\u00a0If anyone would like to donate items to our raffle prizes, we are happy to accept anything anyone is willing to donate.<\/p>\n

In addition, you can find donation jars around town<\/strong> where people can put in their spare change.\u00a0Every penny counts!<\/p>\n
