Local students from Roxford University<\/strong> will close out the spring semester with a rocking bang when they perform in groups at The Lyric Theater<\/strong> in Oxford <\/strong>on Thursday, May 16<\/strong>, 2019<\/strong> at 7 pm<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oxford’s music school not only gives lessons in guitar, piano, drums, bass, and vocal but puts kids together in rock groups, rehearsing each week toward concerts at semester’s end, such as this one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professors at Roxford University include Bill Perry Jr.<\/strong> (piano), Shy Perry<\/strong> (vocals), Newt Rayburn<\/strong> (bass guitar and drums), Eric Deaton<\/strong> (guitar), Mike Namorato<\/strong> (drums), and Nick Spiller <\/strong>(guitar). Tad Wilkes<\/strong> is the Dean of the school and oversees the operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kids ages 9 to 16 from across Oxford, Lafayette County<\/strong>, and Water Valley<\/strong> will plug in this Thursday, and crank up under the bright lights of The Lyric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
