Levi Paul Minyard<\/strong>, 30, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his home in Oxford, Mississippi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Born in Pueblo, Colorado, and having grown up in Oxford, Mr. Minyard graduated with honors from the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts<\/strong> in Portland, Oregon. He\u00a0 trained under master chefs in France and New Zealand. As a result of his accomplishments, Mr. Minyard was named Steel Chef of Mississippi<\/strong>, 2010. He was employed as executive chef at Madidi<\/strong> in Clarksdale and was most recently the executive chef at the University Club <\/strong>in Oxford. Mr. Minyard was a member of the Oxford Church of Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

Survivors include his parents, David and Robin Minyard of Oxford; one sister, Christi Piiparinen of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Alexander David Minyard of Oxford; his grandmother, Wanda Jean Conner of Oxford.<\/span><\/p>\n
