While they have not been adapted for television, there are a few bars around the world named after <em>The Drunken Botanist<\/em>. She lives in Portland with her husband Scott Brown, a rare book dealer. They own an independent bookstore called <strong>Eureka Books<\/strong>, which is so independent that it lives in California while they live in Oregon.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Amy Stewart continues her extraordinary journey into the real lives of the forgotten but fabulous Kopp sisters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Deputy sheriff Constance Kopp is outraged to see young women brought into the Hackensack jail over dubious charges of waywardness, incorrigibility, and moral depravity. The strong-willed, patriotic Edna Heustis, who left home to work in a munitions factory, certainly doesn&#8217;t belong behind bars. And sixteen-year-old runaway Minnie Davis, with few prospects and fewer friends, shouldn&#8217;t be publicly shamed and packed off to a state-run reformatory.
