{"id":45971,"date":"2018-04-20T15:06:13","date_gmt":"2018-04-20T21:06:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=45971"},"modified":"2022-01-30T21:13:18","modified_gmt":"2022-01-31T03:13:18","slug":"holly-springs-man-arrested-for-drive-by-shooting-aggravated-assault-possession-of-a-stolen-firearm-and-possession-with-intent-to-sell-marijuana-in-oxford-mississippi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/holly-springs-man-arrested-for-drive-by-shooting-aggravated-assault-possession-of-a-stolen-firearm-and-possession-with-intent-to-sell-marijuana-in-oxford-mississippi\/","title":{"rendered":"Holly Springs Man Arrested for Drive-By Shooting, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana in Oxford, Mississippi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">On April 19, 2018, Officers responded to the area of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=725+Molly+Barr+Rd&amp;entry=gmail&amp;source=g\">725 Molly Barr Rd<\/a>, <strong>Rockette\u2019s One Stop Express<\/strong>, for a report of shots being fired. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The caller was able to give a description of the suspect, later identified as <strong>Xzaien Shipp<\/strong> (25) of <strong>Holly Springs<\/strong>. While responding to the call officers received information that Shipp shot several more times from his car while pursuing the victim as they were leaving the gas station. &nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A description of Shipp\u2019s vehicle was also given and officers located it on Jackson Avenue near 5th Street. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Shipp was taken into custody on Jackson Avenue without incident. During the on scene investigation officers recovered the firearm used in the shooting and discovered that it was stolen. A felony amount of marijuana was also found. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Shipp was transported to LCDC and booked for Aggravated Assault, Drive by shooting, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana.
