The Oxford Square Alliance<\/strong> is pleased to announce the details of its annual Holiday Open House<\/strong> on Friday, November 24<\/strong>\u00a0around the historic Oxford Square. The event will feature family-friendly activities and events to usher in the holiday season.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur Holiday Open House is a tradition that a lot of people look forward to,\u201d says Mark Huelse<\/strong>, Ward II Alderman and co-chair of the Oxford Square Alliance. \u201cIt\u2019s always fun and very rewarding to be able to give back to the community in a fun way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Holiday Open House will feature a free digital photo shoot with Santa on the Courthouse lawn from\u00a011 am to 4 pm. Carriage rides around the Square will begin at\u00a02 p.m.\u00a0and end at\u00a06 p.m.\u00a0Carolers will perform in front of City Hall from\u00a04:30 pm to 6 pm.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur community supports us year-round, so each year we offer this free event, along with two others, to show our appreciation,\u201d says Jeff Johnson<\/strong>, co-owner of the Oxford Square Alliance and owner of Nella<\/strong>. \u201cMany of our Oxford Square Alliance retail members will be having sales and specials that day and we look forward to seeing everyone.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mayor Robyn Tannehill<\/strong> will light the Christmas tree for the traditional tree lighting at City Hall at\u00a06 pm, followed immediately by a Square Dollars raffle with $500 worth of gift certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Square Dollars are available at Visit Oxford and can be redeemed at any participating retail and restaurant Square Alliance members. Shop and dine with Oxford Square Alliance members on\u00a0Friday, November 24.<\/span><\/p>\n
