Since adopting the \u201cpersona\u201d back when <strong>Clinton<\/strong> was in office, musician <strong>Joshua Cooker<\/strong>\u2019s artistic vision has endured broken bones, natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and more drummers than Spinal Tap, all to entertain your crazy ass.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">What is \u201cWaterbed Rock &amp; Roll\u201d? It\u2019s kind of like <strong>Memphis Soul Stew<\/strong> with lasers, pointy guitars, and a bit of adult humor. Midnight combines crunchy rock guitar riffs, thick r&amp;b grooves, and soaring vocal harmonies to create a unique, yet familiar landscape for his suggestive, sci-fi imagery, and improvisational interplay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The group\u2019s penchant for oddball improv, along with a rotating cast of killer players have helped sneak them through the back door of the hard-to-define \u201cJam Scene\u201d. Bruce Hampton<\/strong>, <strong>Keller Williams<\/strong>, <strong>Del McCoury Band<\/strong>, <strong>Karl Denson<\/strong>, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The first incarnation of the band was formed in <strong>New Orleans<\/strong>, but a post-<strong>Hurricane Katrina<\/strong> move to <strong>Nashville<\/strong>, Tennessee allowed for more centralized touring, bigger networking opportunities, and a wider regional circle in which to freak.
