The chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts<\/strong>, Jane Chu,<\/strong> will make a tour through Mississippi from July 17\u201318 stopping to visit with organization that benefit from the NEA and Mississippi Arts Commission.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her first stop will be in Jackson<\/strong> where the public can hear her speak at the Mississippi Museum of Art at 11 am. Following the speech she will talk with Malcolm White<\/strong> of the Mississippi Arts\u00a0<\/strong>Commission<\/b>, moderated by Betsy Bradley<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chu will spend the rest of her trip making stops at the Powerhouse in Oxford, the Delta Blues Museum<\/strong> in Clarksdale<\/strong>, and the B.B. King Museum<\/strong> in Indianola<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Chu’s site visit with Yoknapatawpha Arts Council <\/strong>will take place on Monday, July 17 from\u00a04\u20135 pm. Chairman Chu will tour the arts council\u2019s facility, The Powerhouse<\/strong>, and meet with their community partners, including artists who have participated in the Arts Incubator Project<\/strong>, which the NEA is supporting with an FY 2017 grant of $10,000.\u00a0<\/span>Participants will include:<\/span>
