They call <em>Don&#8217;t Give Up On Love<\/em>, out Friday on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fatpossum.com\/\"><strong>Fat Possum Records<\/strong><\/a>, marvelous, praising its &#8220;canonical, finely-tuned Southern-soul sound.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Dedicated to his wife and Hi Records co-star <strong>Ann Peebles<\/strong>, what<strong> NPR Music<\/strong> refers to as the &#8220;formidable and inspired&#8221; new album is a testament to Don\u2019s faith in love, commitment, and the almighty. It\u2019s already received a 4-star rave from <strong>MOJO<\/strong> and <strong>Uncut<\/strong> calls him \u201ca lively and supremely compelling singer.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18.6667px;\">The songwriter spent years working as a writer for <strong>Hi Records<\/strong> after releasing his debut album, Bryant is finally releasing a follow up. Though still in recovery from a stroke in 2012, Peebles was by Bryant&#8217;s side the whole way through recording, often in the studio offering advice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;That was very uplifting,&#8221; [Bryant] says. &#8220;Whatever she offers as far as the songs are concerned, as far as how maybe I could try it this way or that way, I listen.
