Chicken Salad Chick<\/strong>,\u00a0fast casual chicken salad restaurant concept, opening its first Mississippi restaurant in Oxford. The new restaurant will open on Tuesday, March 28<\/span><\/span> and is located at 1305 Merchants Drive in the Galleria II Shopping Center, the new Galleria located in front of Lowe’s<\/strong> off Jackson Ave.<\/strong> This location is owned and operated by husband-and-wife franchisee team Robin<\/strong> and Will Clayton<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The first week open the franchise based in, Auburn, Ala<\/strong>. will be giving away\u00a0free sample and plenty of other swag to go along with it. \u00a0Including, the first 100 guest on March 28, will get free chicken salad for a year.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“As a long-time fan and frequent customer of Chicken Salad Chick, it has always been a dream of mine to own a location. After visiting friends and family in Oxford, we knew it was the perfect market for Chicken Salad Chick with its Southern small-town charm and pleasant atmosphere,” said Robin Clayton, “Our family\u00a0is eager to get started spreading the ‘chick’\u00a0love with the Ole Miss community.”<\/span><\/div>\n

Chicken Salad Chick puts an edgy twist on a Southern classic, offering guests a “custom fit” chicken salad experience, with 12 original flavors to choose from, as well as soups, \u00a0side salads and freshly-baked desserts.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Clayton’s\u00a0are no strangers to the Chicken Salad Chick concept. The husband-and-wife franchisee team, who now reside in Oxford, discovered the brand seven years ago, when\u00a0Robin’s sister started working at the Chicken Salad Chick corporate office. After becoming familiar with the brand’s franchising opportunities, Robin and Will decided to partner with their families to form YESSAM, LLC<\/strong> and bring the first restaurant into the state of Mississippi.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Chicken Salad Chick concept was established in 2008 in the kitchen of founder, Stacy Brown<\/strong>. When Stacy discovered that the local county health department would not allow her to continue making and selling her delicious recipes out of her home kitchen, she overcame that obstacle by launching her first restaurant with her future husband and fellow founder, Kevin Brown<\/strong>. Together, they opened a small takeout restaurant, which quickly grew; the company now has more than 65 restaurants across the Southeast.<\/span><\/div>\n
