\u2028Spaceface<\/strong> is led by Jake Ingalls<\/strong> who also plays guitar and synthesizer in The Flaming Lips<\/strong>, And the show reflects that influence. Spaceface works to bring the concert grade experience to a club level employing a DIY light rig and other theatrical elements. They have two Ep’s that were released in the past year, the first recorded at Pink Floor Studio<\/strong> in Oklahoma City<\/strong> and second at Ardent Studios<\/strong> in Memphis<\/strong>, Tennessee<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

They have been a touring band for 4 years playing shows and festivals all across the country, including Hangout Festival<\/strong> in Gulf Shores<\/strong>, Alabama<\/strong>, SXSW<\/strong> in Austin<\/strong>, Treefort Music Festival<\/strong> in Boise<\/strong>, Idaho<\/strong>, and ACM Fest<\/strong> in Oklahoma City. Some of the acts Spaceface has toured and worked with include a broad range of genres like Phantogram<\/strong>, The Flaming Lips<\/strong>, Bright Light Social Hour<\/strong>, Young Buffalo<\/strong>, Prince Rama<\/strong>, Swimm<\/strong>, Morgan Delt<\/strong>, Stardeath<\/strong> and White Dwarfs<\/strong> and Electric Wurms<\/strong>. Spaceface has just finished recording a full length LP this winter and is mixing and mastering now, to be released as soon as this summer, followed by a national tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Swear tapes<\/strong> is the solo project of Jim Barrett<\/strong>, previously of widely popular indie psych-rock band Young Buffalo. Swear Tapes pulls from nostalgic indie sounds that meld with the driving psych-rock rhythms to get your foot tapping and head bobbing. <\/span><\/p>\n

This will be the second time Spaceface and Swear Tapes have teamed up for a show in Oxford. Do not miss a chance to catch these two acts before they are headlining every festival in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spaceface and Swear Tapes share the bill with Memphis indie-rockers China Gate<\/strong>. China Gate,the brain child of Tiger Adams,<\/strong> brings a mixture of sounds similar to Elliott Smith<\/strong> and Coner Oberst<\/strong>.\u00a0 \"The<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
