of <strong>GRAMMY Museum Mississippi<\/strong> last March, the Museum has presented over 30 education and public programs that featured talented up-and-coming artists as well as established, award-winning singers, songwriters, musicians, and engineers.\u00a0 In 2016, the Museum hosted programs in the <strong>Sanders Soundstage<\/strong> with soul and gospel legend <strong>Mavis Staples<\/strong>, former <strong>Black Crowes<\/strong> guitarist <strong>Marc Ford<\/strong>, and legendary <strong>Beatles<\/strong> engineer <strong>Geoff Emerick<\/strong> to name a few.\u00a0 This year, the Museum is thrilled to start the New Year with two music legends, <strong>Eddie \u201cChank\u201d Willis<\/strong> and <strong>Bobby Rush<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure Monday, January 23, at 6 pm\u00a0the Museum will screen the film <em>Standing in the Shadows of Motown<\/em> which tells the story of the Funk Brothers, a group of talented musicians recruited by <strong>Berry Gordy<\/strong> to record musical tracks for <strong>Motown<\/strong>.\u00a0 These musicians were responsible for the backing tracks for a large number of soul and R&amp;B hits produced by Motown, including songs by <strong>the Supremes<\/strong>, <strong>Smokey Robinson<\/strong>, <strong>Marvin Gaye<\/strong>, and others.\u00a0 The Museum is pleased to bring the legendary session guitarist and member of the <strong>Funk Brothers<\/strong>, Eddie \u201cChank\u201d Willis, to the Sanders Soundstage for a discussion about his career and his Motown experiences.\u00a0 The discussion will be moderated by <strong>Scott Barretta<\/strong>, host of <strong>Mississippi Public Broadcasting<\/strong>\u2019s <strong>Highway 61<\/strong> blues program.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">February\u2019s programming begins with another music living legend in the soundstage on Wednesday, February 1, at 7 pm, the great bluesman <strong>Bobby Rush<\/strong>.\u00a0 Rush has enjoyed a 60-plus year career and is a 59th GRAMMY Awards<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> nominee for <strong>Best Traditional Blues Album<\/strong> for his most recent album, <em>Porcupine Meat<\/em>.\u00a0 He has garnered four Blues Music Award nominations, including <strong>Album of the Year<\/strong> for his latest GRAMMY<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>-nominated release and <strong>Best Historical Release<\/strong> for his 50-year career retrospective box set.\u00a0 The Museum is pleased to welcome this consummate storyteller and performer to the Sanders Soundstage for an intimate performance and conversation on his long and successful career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cWe are thrilled to bring these music
