How did you get into cooking?<\/strong> Watching my dad cooking at home. I went to culinary school in Austin, Texas: Le Cordon Bleu<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the best thing about your job? <\/strong>Working with great ingredents<\/span><\/p>\n

Who is your favorite cook\/chef? <\/strong>My mentor Graham Dodds from Dallas<\/span><\/p>\n

What kitchen tool\/utensil could you not live without<\/strong>? Tongs. Most versatile tool in the kitchen<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your favorite flavor combo?<\/strong> Fresh herbs and salt<\/span><\/p>\n

Name three items in your fridge<\/strong>: Milk, sambal, bacon<\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you get your best recipe ideas<\/strong>? The people I work with. Working with great chefs, bouncing ideas off each other creates the best recipes<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the best meal you\u2019ve ever eaten? <\/strong>The best meal I\u2019ve ever had was shared with friends. It was the experience. But, the best thing I\u2019ve eaten was a dry aged steak. Absolutely delicious.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the weirdest meal you\u2019ve ever eaten? <\/strong>The weirdest thing I\u2019ve eaten was either escargot or razor clams.<\/span><\/p>\n

Personal specialties: <\/strong>I love cooking fish. Scallops and whole fish are what I\u2019m best at.<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite midnight snack<\/strong>: Cereal \u2013 Honey Bunches of Oats<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite kitchen music: <\/strong>80s rock band ballads<\/span><\/p>\n

Who would you most like to cook for and what would you prepare<\/strong>? Anthony Bourdain. I\u2019m not sure what I would make for him. I would be a little intimidated. But, maybe a whole pig with the help of Nick Reppond.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you like to dine in Oxford<\/strong>? I\u2019ve eaten at several places in Oxford, but Grit in Taylor is the best.

Favorite restaurant in the world<\/strong>: It is no longer open, but York Street in Dallas was amazing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aspirations<\/strong>: Well, I\u2019m in school at Ole Miss majoring in Dietetics and Nutrition so that I can be a Registered Dietitian.<\/span><\/p>\n
