School has opened, SEC football is in full swing, and it\u2019s time for the <strong>Water Valley Arts Council<\/strong>\u2019s (WVAC) famous\u2014and award winning\u2014<strong>8th Annual Art Crawl<\/strong>. If you are wondering what the Water Valley arts community is all about, now is the time to see the visual and performing art that everyone is talking about across northern Mississippi. The 8th Annual Art Crawl is Saturday, October 8, from 5:30 to 9 pm. After viewing all the art and performances in The Valley, we invite you to return to <strong>Bozarts Gallery<\/strong> for some light refreshments and dancing under Bozart\u2019s famed disco ball.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">This event is free and family-friendly; please bring your children. There are 13 stops on the tour this year; some are new to The Valley Art Crawl, and all of them are comfortably within walking distance of each other. Half the stops are right on Main Street.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">If art isn\u2019t your thing, consider this an opportunity to tour many of the beautiful historic homes in The Valley and shop at some unique businesses while indulging in delicious finger food, and sipping a glass of wine or lemonade while music fills The Valley from the various crawl locations. It\u2019s a grand event and lovely evening to welcome fall to The Valley while allowing the Arts to enrich our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">We have added something new for this year\u2019s Art Crawl: you have the opportunity to begin collecting WVAC Lapel Pins. For the first time, we are offering the WVAC Logo. And, to further pique your interest, we have our exclusive WVAC Art Pin: \u201cPeace in The Valley.\u201d Pins are $1 each. Supplies are limited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Artists showing in this year\u2019s crawl include <strong>Katrina Geenen<\/strong>, <strong>Adrienne Brown-David<\/strong>, <strong>Susan Richards<\/strong>, <strong>Mari Foster<\/strong>, <strong>Tiffeny Owens<\/strong>, <strong>Pati D\u2019Amico<\/strong>, <strong>Bill Warren<\/strong>, <strong>Coulter Fussell<\/strong>, <strong>Michael Maxwell<\/strong>, <strong>Catherine <\/strong>and<strong> Jon McLeod<\/strong>, <strong>Deirdre Uncapher<\/strong>, <strong>Staci Waites<\/strong>, <strong>Thomas Grosskopf<\/strong>, <strong>Hanne Gaycken<\/strong>, <strong>Jack Gurner, Carol Smith<\/strong>, and performances by <strong>Valley Dance Company<\/strong>\u2019s Elite Team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Musicians performing during the Art Crawl include <strong>Kevin Guyer<\/strong>, <strong>Tyler Keith<\/strong>, <strong>Laurie Stirratt<\/strong>, <strong>Gina Sexton<\/strong>, <strong>Wendy Garrison<\/strong>, and <strong>Matthew <\/strong>and <strong>Charlie Zediker<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">This year\u2019s Arts Crawl is sponsored by Paul Koshenina and Patrick Sneed of Precision Engineering Corporation and Cinnamon Foster\u00a0FNP-BC CinnaMed and Yalobusha Medical Clinic, with additional support from Dr. Barry Weeks, Mechanics Bank, Turnage Drug Store, Radiosonde Museum of North America, Larson\u2019s Piggly Wiggly, Lee McMinn\/Kessinger Real Estate, B.T.C.
