\n<\/strong>Celebrating the release of the new book Milk & Sugar: The Complete Book of Seersucker
\n<\/em><\/strong>A benefit to support the Oxford Film Festival<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Oxford Film Festival<\/strong> and Nautilus Publishing<\/strong> are teaming up for a special book launch to benefit the nonprofit Oxford Film Festival. Seersucker Shakedown<\/strong> will be from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Friday, June 3 at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center<\/strong> (413 South 14th St).<\/span><\/p>\n

With live music, appetizers with a southern flair, Abita<\/strong> Seersucker beer, and a special Seersucker gin cocktail courtesy of Proof Beverages<\/strong>, the event is sure to make you feel right at home wearing your best seersucker suit. A special presentation by Milk & Sugar: The Complete Book of Seersucker<\/em> author Bill Haltom<\/strong> will also be held.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so excited to kick off summer with such a fun party with our friends from Nautilus Publishing,\u201d Oxford Film Festival Executive Director Melanie Addington<\/strong> said. \u201cWe are already gearing up for the 2017 festival and have been hosting monthly screenings and workshops and appreciate the wonderful support Oxford provides.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets not only include admission to the event, but it also includes the book that Haltom will sign on site. Those wearing their best seersucker are entered to win two VIP passes to the 2017 Oxford Film Festival set for February 15\u201319, 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

Advance tickets can be purchased online at http:\/\/seersuckershakedown.bpt.me\/<\/a>. Tickets are $35 for OxFilm society and Yoknapatawpha Arts Council members or $40 for non-members. An extra ticket can be purchased with the first ticket without the book for $20 for members or $25 for non-members. If purchased at the door, tickets are $45 for members or $50 for non-members with the option to buy a second ticket without the book for $30 for members or $35 for non-members.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
