On Thursday, March 17, 2016, Investigators of the Oxford, Mississippi Police Department<\/strong> charged Ronald Mongeon, Jr<\/strong> (41) of Somerville, Tennessee<\/strong>\u00a0and Miranda Hurt<\/strong> (23) of Oxford, Mississippi with one count each of Residential Burglary and one count of Motor Vehicle Theft. <\/span><\/p>\n

Mongeon was stopped in Memphis<\/strong> after a warrant was issued for him for burglary. Once Memphis PD had apprehended Mongeon, OPD advised them that he\u00a0was suspected in taking a vehicle from The Square<\/strong> a few days earlier. They checked where Mongeon was staying and found parked behind his house\u00a0John Desler<\/strong>‘s 1972 powder blue Chevrolet Blazer that was stolen off The Square on March 11<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The vehicle was in the process of being broken down to be sold. The vehicle was recovered and Mongeon was brought back to Oxford where his bond was revoked because he was out on a previous felony bond.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hurt and Mongeon are in a relationship together and both were involved in the burglary and taking of the vehicle from the Square. <\/span><\/p>\n

Hurt was at the residence when officers arrived. She was taken into custody and brought back to Oxford. Hurt\u2019s bond was set at $10,000.00.\u00a0\"The<\/span><\/p>\n
