It is tough to reconcile with HB76 by the same author, which requires candidates to declare a political party. You\u2019re fired!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE \u2013 NOT HERE<\/strong>!\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/billstatus.ls.state.ms.us\/documents\/2016\/pdf\/HB\/0001-0099\/HB0050IN.pdf\">HB50<\/a> will have public school teacher paid by your tax dollars teaching creationism from the Bible as a scientific theory.\u00a0 That cutting edge lesson should help us out of 50<sup>th<\/sup> place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>MAEP<\/strong> \u2013 will only be taught in History class as a relic of the past.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/billstatus.ls.state.ms.us\/documents\/2016\/pdf\/HB\/0400-0499\/HB0458IN.pdf\">HB458 &amp;HB469<\/a> would require a full overhaul of the funding formula, and further underfund our last-place schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>VOUCHERS ANYONE<\/strong>?\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/billstatus.ls.state.ms.us\/documents\/2016\/pdf\/HB\/0400-0499\/HB0458IN.pdf\">HB943<\/a> will send your public tax dollars to private academies and religious\/parochial schools, regardless of what religious views you believe or don\u2019t believe.\u00a0 Want to take a wild guess who will be the lucky ones to get to go to a private school near you on your tax dollars?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>SCHOOL CHOICE \/ ATHLETIC RECRUITING<\/strong> <strong>here we come <a href=\"http:\/\/billstatus.ls.state.ms.us\/documents\/2016\/pdf\/HB\/1000-1099\/HB1015IN.pdf\">HB1015<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0 Students in underperforming districts will get to go to other better districts and take their local tax dollars with them with <a href=\"http:\/\/billstatus.ls.state.ms.us\/documents\/2016\/pdf\/HB\/0200-0299\/HB0206IN.pdf\">HB206<\/a>.\u00a0 Hope your child is a great ballplayer or runner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>WHEN YOU HAVE A MINUTE:<\/strong>\u00a0 Since teachers have so much spare time, now that recess is also history, <a href=\"http:\/\/billstatus.ls.state.ms.us\/documents\/2016\/pdf\/HB\/0200-0299\/HB0224IN.pdf\">HB224<\/a> would fine schools $1,500 per day for each time they did not recite the Pledge of Allegiance within the first hour of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>FINALLY, CHARTER SCHOOLS<\/strong>:\u00a0 The elephant got its nose under the tent in 2013 for only failing districts.\u00a0 Now, <a href=\"http:\/\/billstatus.ls.state.ms.us\/documents\/2016\/pdf\/HB\/1000-1099\/HB1042IN.pdf\">HB1042<\/a> would permit these profit schools to operate in A and B districts, statewide, with no approval by local school boards and no district lines &#8211;
