Oxford, Miss. (TLV) – YoknapaTaco<\/strong> will be hosting a party this Sunday at The Powerhouse<\/strong> from 5 to 9 pm as a welcome back to Oxford<\/strong> after the holidays.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe had such a good time doing the original launch party that we had back in August,\u201d said Jake Sessums<\/strong>, owner of YoknapaTaco. \u201cWe wanted to do something like that. I\u2019ve now got connections with more trucks that we can bring in and show off what we\u2019re trying to grow into as far as an Oxford community with food trucks.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining YoknapaTaco will be trucks from across\u00a0the state including Oxford Smoke Shop<\/strong> (Oxford, MS), Breakfast2Lunch<\/strong> (Batesville<\/strong>, MS), and Small Time Hotdogs<\/strong> (Winona<\/strong>, MS). Happy Foods<\/strong> (Marks<\/strong>, MS) was invited as well, though \u201cthey\u2019ve been having some problems with the truck,\u201d said Sessums.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the food, party goers will be treated to a full spectrum of Oxford art including live music from local artists Reels<\/strong>, The Kit Thorn Band<\/strong>, and Jim Barrett<\/strong> performing a solo set. Visual artists including Claire Whitehurst<\/strong>, who did artwork for the vent poster, and Nicole Rottler<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This will also be the first event officially organized by The Hick Wallflower<\/strong>, also owned by Sessums.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hick Wallflower is our commissary space and will likely take on the event planning aspects of what we do,\u201d said Sessums. \u201cI see it evolving into an event coordinating business and the truck will be part of the events that The Hick Wallflower puts on.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

General Admission Tickets are $5 and \u201cTasting Packages\u201d which gets you a food item from any truck and three Yalobusha Brewery<\/strong>\u00a0brews are $20 .
