“Like Sun”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I don’t remember this:<\/span><\/p>\n

drooling in my crib,<\/span><\/p>\n

the mom whose name I didn’t yet know,<\/span><\/p>\n

sipping herb tea,<\/span><\/p>\n

a loving gaze like sun on my back.<\/span><\/p>\n

She would sing a song invented for me:<\/span><\/p>\n

pure.<\/span><\/p>\n

short.<\/span><\/p>\n

sweet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rays of sun with dust dancing through them,<\/span><\/p>\n

streaming on to me<\/span><\/p>\n

as I hugged my stuffed pig.<\/span><\/p>\n

Time . . . well, time has been time to me.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve been good and bad, and<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m sure<\/span><\/p>\n

this did happen.<\/span><\/p>\n
