Out of the Louisiana Delta, these two ladies bring a new folk sound with accordion, banjo, and percussion. Silo<\/strong> is a duet of songwriters, Rene\u00e9 Arozqueta<\/strong> and Jennifer Jeffers<\/strong>, who infuse a high energy show with harmonies, multiple instruments, and sweetness.\u00a0\"TeardropCityWeb\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Rene\u00e9 and Jenn met while both were teachers in Louisiana and from their musical and friendship chemistry the sound of Silo was born. Rene\u00e9, a native of Pensacola, Florida had toured and produced music extensively with other projects such as Spider+Octopus<\/strong> and Bobe Street Band<\/strong>. Jenn moved a little farther south from her home state of Arkansas with performance experience and a gusto for the banjo in her hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Silo started building momentum playing shows in and around the Mississippi River delta\u2014primarily in Vicksburg, Natchez, and Jackson, Mississippi. Silo has played popular local events such as Vicksburg Riverfest<\/strong> and the weekend opening of The Great Gatsby<\/em> at the Strand Theatre<\/strong>. Silo toured on their new album, Tall Tales<\/em>, earlier this year from New Orleans to Natchez. Silo invites you to plug into their music and find the warm velvety center of harmonies and instrumentation that these two old-soul singers have crafted.\u00a0\"The<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
