Looking for a fun pregame party this weekend for the Ole Miss<\/strong> Homecoming Game against New Mexico State<\/strong>?\u00a0\"LOFT-Poster-350\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday, October 9th<\/sup><\/strong>, you can experience the creative collision of 1980\u2019s music and culture, the \u201cultimate 80\u2019s cover band\u201d,\u00a0The Molly Ringwalds<\/a><\/strong>. Originally from Sheffield, England<\/strong>, each of the five\u00a0band members don the wild persona and stage presence of an 80\u2019s era icon, making for an \u201c\u2026amazing interactive show\u2026big sound, big fun, and big presentation.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lafayette Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (LOFT) invites you and your visiting guests to join us at The Lyric Theater<\/strong> for their\u00a0annual fundraiser, where we will see and hear The Molly Ringwalds\u2019 high energy take on a variety of artists and genres from Bon Jovi<\/strong> to\u00a0Run-DMC<\/strong> to Madonna<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The benefit\u00a0show will begin at 7:30 pm<\/span> with The Wingits<\/strong>, a band of teenagers from\u00a0Roxford\u00a0University<\/a><\/strong> (Rox U),\u00a0Oxford\u2019s own new rock band school for local young people.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Oxford PhotoBomb<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0a 1973 Retro Travel Trailer that has been converted into a unique photo booth to capture memorable moments,\u00a0will also be in attendance at the fundraiser event.\u00a0\u00a0Photos will be $5 each and all proceeds will be donated to LOFT.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Doors for the concert open at 7:00 pm<\/span> and The Molly Ringwalds will start at 8:00 pm<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Founded in 2002, LOFT<\/a> is your Oxford and Lafayette county local community foundation, awarding over 100 grants totaling $225,000 to over 40 local community organizations, such as Boys and Girls Clubs<\/strong> of North Mississippi, Veterans Memorial Park<\/strong>, Oxford Medical Ministries,<\/strong> and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council<\/strong>, to name only a few. <\/span><\/p>\n

Advanced tickets for the event are $35 and $50 the day of the show. LOFT is also offering a $20 advance student ticket. Tickets can be purchased at\u00a0www.TheLyricOxford.com<\/a>\u00a0or from LOFT board members.<\/span><\/p>\n
