On Wednesday, June 17th, from 7 – 10 pm, the Loft on Main<\/strong> series of concerts is proud to present The International Songwriter\u2019s Collective<\/strong>, a group of three guitarists\/composers from The United States and Europe. The ISC trio is currently touring the East coast and Southern states of the US with a European tour planned for late summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"0617song\"<\/a>The three musicians in The International Songwriter\u2019s Collective originally met in Holland at an Amsterdam Songwriter\u2019s Guild concert a few years ago. Guitarist Jimmy Robinson <\/strong>is from New Orleans, Brick de Bois<\/strong> who performs under the name FLOATSTONE<\/strong> lives in Antwerp, Belgium, and Lily Kiara<\/strong> is from Amsterdam and a member of the group The River<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The three have performed together in various combinations in Europe and America, and will combine their quite different but complimentary styles for a U.S. Tour from June 6th-27th. The tour is being filmed and recorded by Belgian filmmaker Cy Leong<\/strong>. The evening will include solos, duos and all three musicians performing together. <\/span><\/p>\n

Valleyians will be familiar with Jimmy Robinson from previous standing-room-only shows at Fiddler\u2019s Loft<\/strong> and Loft on Main. He is one of New Orleans\u2019 true local treasures, an accomplished guitarist and veteran performer who is \u201cA virtuoso of the 6 and 12 string acoustic guitar\u2026.combines excellent technique and workmanship with the best traditions of American songwriting\u2026.\u201d (Blogfoolk, Caserta, Italy). <\/span><\/p>\n

We are fortunate to host this show, which falls right between the trio\u2019s performances at Snug Harbor in New Orleans and The Brick in St Louis, MS, and to be treated to three performers of Robinson\u2019s caliber. <\/span><\/p>\n

As usual, this show will be held in the Loft on Main space in downtown Water Valley, in the former Masonic Hall meeting space above the B.T.C. Grocery <\/strong>(301 N. Main St., Water Valley, Mississippi). <\/span>
\n This is a great opportunity to experience three world class performers at close range in a comfortable space. There will be an admission of $12 at the door to support the artists and some refreshments are provided.
