It\u2019s that time of year again. Spring is in the air and Oxford\u2019s highly anticipated Double Decker Arts Festival<\/strong> is just around the corner. On the weekend of April 24th – 25th the famous Oxford Square<\/strong> will be filled with something to tickle the fancies of everyone from music and art lovers, to those just out to see the sights and have a good time. But Double Decker weekend is also a prime time for food lovers wanting to try items from some of the best local eateries.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 15 food vendors available and a wide array of menu items, there is something\"food-pic\"<\/a> for everyone. Local Foods Organic Cafe and Market<\/strong> will be serving brisket tacos made with local brisket, as well as potato and black bean tacos. For those with a hankering for something smoked or barbecued, Rebel Barn BBQ<\/strong> will be offering their house-rolled Delta-style hot tamales, and their world famous barbecue nachos with white corn tortillas, pulled pork, shredded cheese, and jalapenos, topped with their house-made queso and barbecue sauce. Sweet tea and water will also be available.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vendors like Taylor Grocery<\/strong> and LB\u2019s Meat Market<\/strong> will offer down-home, Southern-style meals.<\/span><\/p>\n

For those with a big sweet tooth, a variety of desserts will be available from Southern Sweets & More<\/strong>, as well as Honey Bee Bakery<\/strong> which will offer strawberry lemonade, Double Decker iced sugar cookies and even more savory dishes like tacos. Oxford\u2019s warm weather hotspot, Snobiz<\/strong> will offer snow cones to those looking to cool down over the weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Festival goers will also be able to try items from popular Square hangouts like Old Venice Pizza Co.<\/strong> and Proud Larry\u2019s<\/strong>, which will be serving roast beef, jambalaya, shrimp and grits, and gumbo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Menu items from vendors including but not limited to McAlister\u2019s<\/strong>, Abner\u2019s Famous Chicken Tenders<\/strong>, Funky\u2019s Pizza<\/strong>, Taqueria El Milagro<\/strong>, will be available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
