Oxford, Miss. \u2013 On Saturday, February 28 at Off Square Books<\/strong>, there will be a free 5 pm special screening of Shadows of Liberty<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0After the screening, there will be a highly interactive panel discussion.\u00a0The documentary film reveals the extraordinary truth behind the news media: censorship, cover-ups and corporate control.<\/span><\/p>\n

In highly revealing stories, renowned journalists, activists and academics including\"Layout<\/a> Danny Glover<\/strong>, Julian Assange<\/strong>, Dan Rather<\/strong>, Amy Goodman<\/strong>, David Simon<\/strong>, Norman Solomon<\/strong>, Bob Bear<\/strong>, Roberta Baskin<\/strong>, John Macarthur<\/strong>, Robert McChesney<\/strong>, Daniel Ellsberg<\/strong>, Janine Jackson<\/strong>, Chris Hedges<\/strong>, Kristina Borjesson<\/strong>, and John Nichols<\/strong> give insider accounts of a broken media system. Controversial news reports are suppressed, people are censored for speaking out, and lives are shattered as the arena for public expression is turned into a private profit zone.<\/span><\/p>\n
