\n Fathom Events, Arts Alliance, and Seventh Art Productions invite audiences to enjoy an intimate tour of the blockbuster exhibit Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs<\/strong> when Matisse comes to select cinemas nationwide for a must-see event on Tuesday, January 13<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hailed as the most successful exhibition in Tate Modern<\/strong>\u2019s history, this landmark exhibit explores the final chapter in Matisse\u2019s career in which he began \u2018carving into colour\u2019 and his series of spectacular cut-outs was born. Full of insight and emotion, this one-night cinema event features rare archival footage of the artist at work, unique personal interviews with Matisse\u2019s friends, Tate director Nicholas Serota<\/strong> and MoMA<\/strong> director Glenn Lowry<\/strong>, and exclusive new footage from The Museum of Modern Art, where the exhibit is currently on view through February 8, 2015<\/span><\/span>. Cinema audiences will also be treated to breathtaking new performances by Royal Ballet<\/strong> principal dancer Zenaida Yanowsky<\/strong> and jazz musician Courtney Pine<\/strong> which reflect the color, the freedom and the innovation of Matisse\u2019s work.<\/span><\/p>\n
