Talk about a bad night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mississippi State<\/strong>\u2019s best season ever came to a screeching halt last night in Oxford<\/strong>. Twice. Literally.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The No. 4 ranked Bulldogs<\/strong> had no answer to Ole Miss<\/strong>\u2019 Landshark Defense Saturday evening\u00a0in the Egg Bowl<\/strong>. The Rebels<\/strong> held Heisman hopeful Dak Prescott<\/strong> to just 48 rushing yards and the Bulldog offense to just 17 points.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ole Miss’\u00a0offense put up 31 points on State\u2019s defensive squad, who Head Coach\u00a0Dan Mullen called \u201cpathetic\u201d<\/a> after the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Clearly, it was a bad night for State, but then it got even worse. On the way out of Oxford, the team buses ran into each other near the intersection of Highways 6 and 7. The caravan had to wait on the side of the highway for a replacement bus provided by Ole Miss.<\/span><\/p>\n

No one was hurt in the accident, but the irony is sharp.<\/span><\/p>\n

But wait, there\u2019s more.<\/span><\/p>\n

The same two buses got into a second accident\u00a0near the intersection of Highway 30 and North Lamar, right in front of the office of The Local Voice<\/em>. The busses ran into each other yet again.<\/span><\/p>\n

State’s\u00a0vehicles\u00a0were apparently being driven to Shiver\u2019s Towing Company\u00a0<\/strong>when the second accident occurred. A Shivers towing truck was following at the time. The accident blocked traffic on Highway 30 and White Oak Lane while a second Shivers truck came to the scene to remove them from the highway.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As smoke rose from the\u00a0busses and the drivers argued in the highway, Local Voice<\/em> photographers began to shoot photographs. At that point, they took notice of the attention they were attracting, abruptly driving away from the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

As of Sunday morning, both buses are resting comfortably in Shiver\u2019s Towing Yard.\u00a0\"The<\/a><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
