How long have you lived in Oxford? <\/strong>25 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five things you love about living in Oxford:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Square Books–in particular, buying a book I\u2019ve been anticipating and stepping outside to sink into a seat on the balcony so I can start reading ASAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. The Whirlpool Trails (South Campus Rail Trail). I\u2019m out there every Sunday. It\u2019s the only place in Oxford where one can run while in the shade (mostly) on a path that\u2019s not asphalt. I hope the city protects it from developers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. City Grocery bar, especially the far corner on a Thursday afternoon when a bunch of regulars show up and chat a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The Grove–though for me I appreciate it most not while tailgating but while cutting across campus and relishing this deep green calming center of a busy workday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Thacker Mountain Radio. I love the musical guests, the literary readings, and the unique offering of a live show that\u2019s open to all and that one can only find in Oxford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
