A compelling cross-disciplinary comedy show<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Anubis Improv<\/strong> presents Half & Half, on Saturday, September 26 at 7pm at The Powerhouse<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show, presented in collaboration with the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, takes four two-character scripts and splits them in half, giving each character\u2019s sides to a different actor to memorize. On the night of the show, each actor is paired with an improviser who has no knowledge of the scenes. The actors must say their lines as written no matter how the improviser responds. The audience will see both halves of each of the scripts throughout the show, and often enjoys trying to match them up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis show has become a favorite of both the audience and the performers,\u201d says the show\u2019s producer and Anubis Improv member Dylan Kerr<\/strong>. \u201cSometimes the improvisers’ responses fit perfectly into the script, which is amazing, and sometimes they very much do not, which is hilarious!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actors include Theatre Oxford<\/strong> veteran Tori Hutchinson<\/strong>, Anubis Improv graduate Angela Durham<\/strong>, and Oxford thespians Noah Cochran<\/strong> and Gavin Lane<\/strong>. The improvisers are all Anubis Improv graduates and Oxford comedy veterans and include Stephanie Wheeler, Elizabeth Burklow, Scott Burklow,<\/strong> and Dylan Kerr. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are available online<\/a> and will also be on sale at the door on the night of the show if available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Powerhouse is located at 413 South 14th St in Oxford (on the corner of University Avenue). Parking is in back near the water tower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
