The \u201cMaine\u201d attraction in Taylor this summer is Hemingway, the 39 inches-long and 26 pound Maine Coon cat owned by Catherine McQueen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hemingway holds court from the plush couches of Lost Dog Coffee Shop<\/a><\/strong>, looking down upon mere peasants like you and I. His royalty makes an appearance twice-a-week, as Catherine chauffeurs the impressively large cat to the coffee shop for socialization in the form of scratches and handshakes, in his very own carriage. His royal carriage is simply a baby stroller, but in Hemingway\u2019s case, it is fit for a king.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While his dietary needs don\u2019t include coffee, tea, or even a puppacino (Hemingway consumes an all raw diet to stay clear of allergies), he is an accomplished world traveler. So far, he\u2019s lived in Virginia, Rwanda, Kenya, and currently, Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Catherine admits Hemingway has become famous from their outings, but she doesn\u2019t let him get overwhelmed by the attention. With a treat and a command, Hemingway displays an impressive ability to follow directions, and hops into his carriage, away from \u2018paparazzi.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
