Presented by the <strong>University of Mississippi Museum<\/strong> and supported by <strong>Ole Miss Athletics<\/strong>, the free festival showcased nationally acclaimed performers including <strong>The War And Treaty and Wilco<\/strong>. Visitors and locals alike enjoyed a dynamic mix of culinary experiences and more than 150 regional artist booths, highlighted by this year\u2019s featured artist,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tracking.us.nylas.com\/l\/3d022e1f4d8d4d99801730a8ffe2409c\/4\/a86bbfbc175f2c8d5806cef3dcdd425e775ef7c85e29f4057ecb0f9df515509f?cache_buster=1778007223\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Allyn Fraser<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0of <strong>Memphis, Tennessee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhat an extraordinary weekend showcasing the creativity and spirit that define Oxford,\u201d said <strong>Kinney Ferris<\/strong>, executive director of <strong>Visit Oxford<\/strong>. \u201cThe Double Decker Arts Festival continues to be a cornerstone event for our community, generating an estimated 18.9 million dollars in economic impact while creating a welcoming, memorable experience for everyone who visits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are deeply appreciative of the attendees, sponsors, artists and city partners whose collaboration and enthusiasm brought this year\u2019s festival to life,\u201d said <strong>Lee Ann Stubbs<\/strong>, <strong>Double Decker Coordinator<\/strong>. \u201cEach year, the festival strengthens our sense of community, and we look forward to building on that momentum for next year\u2019s 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Festivities began Friday evening as <strong>Penelope Road<\/strong>, <strong>The War And Treaty<\/strong>, and headliner <strong>Shane Smith<\/strong> and <strong>The Saints<\/strong> energized the streets with live performances. On Saturday, the celebration expanded throughout the historic <strong>Courthouse Square<\/strong>, where more than 150 artists and food vendors lined the streets alongside the lively \u201c<strong>Blue Delta Blues Alley<\/strong>\u201d near <strong>The Lyric<\/strong>. The main stage featured a full day of standout performances, including sets from <strong>The Dip<\/strong>, <strong>Margo Price<\/strong> and headliner <strong>Wilco.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now in its 29th year, the Double Decker Arts Festival continues to draw record-breaking crowds. Inspired by the iconic double-decker bus imported from England in 1994, the festival began modestly with a makeshift stage on the back of a pickup truck and a handful of vendors.
