Truman Scholarship Foundation<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0formally announced recipients today (April 24).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each winner will receive up to $30,000 toward completing a graduate degree and will gain access to internship and employment opportunities in the federal government. It was always clear that she would make a lasting impact on our campus and it has been a joy to watch her grow and glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ami works to makes things better when she shows up and I am confident that she will continue to make a positive impact in our state, the nation, and the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since high school, Ba has been a devoted advocate of the right to vote. said Whitney Woods, assistant director of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/tracking.us.nylas.com\/l\/7243ade9780b4c31ad783690bbf62b1c\/16\/e0a1dbd41579ccf2cf8b5a20e1f709191c7ffb1d2d951c1a172fb69432d83f58?cache_buster=1777056574\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Office of National Scholarship Advisement<\/strong><\/a>. &#8220;The Truman application process is one that takes considerable time, effort and reflection while clearly articulating service and career goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Aminata approached every question, discussion and edit with grace and an openness to discovering her path.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The process of applying and interviewing for the Truman Scholarship has cemented what Ba already knew: She&#8217;s passionate about people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;No matter what happened, I knew this process had shaped me,&#8221;
