A moderate magnitude 3.6 earthquake hit 36\u00a0km (22\u00a0mi) away from\u00a0Oxford<\/strong>,\u00a0Mississippi<\/strong>, late in the evening of Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:01 pm local time (America\/Chicago GMT -5). The depth of the quake could not be determined, but is assumed to be shallow. The quake was reported felt by some people near the epicenter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
