About the author<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aimee Nezhukumatathil is the New York Times<\/strong> bestselling author of two illustrated collections of essays: Bite by Bite <\/em>and World of Wonders<\/em>, chosen as Barnes & Noble\u2019s Book of the Year<\/strong> and as a finalist for the Kirkus Prize. She has published four award-winning poetry collections and spent a decade serving as the poetry editor for environmental magazines, first for Orion <\/strong>and then Sierra<\/strong>. A professor of English and creative writing for over twenty-five years, she gives firefly tours for Mississippi State Parks<\/strong> and lives in Oxford, Mississippi, with her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
