Oxford Community Market and partners will offer a hot meal, take-home resources like healthy foods, fresh produce bags, and household supplies provided by @oxfordlovepacks and @oxfordmtam <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the wake of Winter Storm Fern, our community partnerships were needed more than ever and in ways they\u2019ve never been needed before\u2026 As we watched our leaders face unprecedented challenges, linemen brave dangerous working conditions, and first responders working long nights to keep us safe, community groups full of good-hearted, care people wondered, \u201cHow can we even begin to help after such widespread devastation?\u201d

We found the answer to that question in each other: By joining together and taking action to meet immediate needs of our neighbors in the community response effort that became know as the LOU Second Responders. This grassroots collaborative effort united organizations, churches, and volunteers to develop a county-wide network of LOU Second Responder service sites at churches, fire stations and community center providing thousands of residents with critically needed food, water, household supplies and hot meals in the weeks after the storm. This effort was supported by a vast network of volunteers, churches, businesses, university partners, officials, and emergency responders.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n


On March 24th – two months after storm hit – we invite the communtiy to gather for a meal around The Neighborhood Table to reflect on our work together to get through the storm and our work moving forward to continue to provide care, comfort and love to our neighbors.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is free and open to everyone! In the spirit of community care, our partners will offer a hot meal provided by @oxfordlovepacks and @oxfordmtam along with take-home resources like healthy foods, fresh produce bags, and household supplies!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will never forget this storm. We will never forget the damage and hardships. Most importantly, we will never forget how the LOU Community pulled through it by coming TOGETHER! Love y\u2019all! Come eat and celebrate the strength of our community on March 24th at Oxford Community Market.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
