The Oxford School District<\/strong> is delighted to celebrate its 2025-2026 Teachers of the Year<\/strong>. Each school selected one outstanding educator to represent their school, and from this group, one District Teacher of the Year<\/strong> was chosen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us in congratulating the following educators for their exceptional dedication and contributions to our schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

District Teacher of the Year: Anna Jeffries, Central Elementary School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are thrilled to announce Anna Jeffries<\/strong> as the 2025-2026 Oxford School District District Teacher of the Year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anna Jeffries is a 4th and 5th grade math interventionist at Central Elementary School<\/strong>. Mrs. Jeffries has worked in education for 19 years and has been an Oxford School District employee since 2015. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in psychology from the University of Mississippi<\/strong>, a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Mississippi, and a master\u2019s degree in secondary mathematics education from the University of Memphis.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Jeffries stated, \u201cI am honored and humbled to serve as the teacher of the year in a school that feels like home, amongst coworkers who cultivate joy in their classrooms by making learning fun, who love their students and all their quirks, who are friends and teachers all bearing the weight of this season of life and the teaching profession. I have a dream job teaching my sweet and precious students, who bring me so much joy and make me excited to show up daily, give my best, and do what I do \u2014 what a privilege!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LaShonda Bell \u2014 Oxford Early Childhood Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LaShonda Bell<\/strong> is the physical education teacher at Oxford Early Childhood Center<\/strong>. Mrs. Bell has worked in education for 21 years and has been an Oxford School District employee since 2004. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in exercise science from the University of Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brittney Tolbert \u2014 Bramlett Elementary School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Brittney Tolbert<\/strong> is a kindergarten and first grade special education teacher at Bramlett Elementary School<\/strong>. Mrs. Tolbert has worked in education for 15 years and has been an Oxford School District employee since 2010. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in special education from the University of Mississippi and a master\u2019s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi. Mrs. Tolbert is a National Board Certified Teacher.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emily Dubrovin \u2014 Della Davidson Elementary School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emily Dubrovin<\/strong> is a 3rd grade math and science teacher at Della Davidson Elementary School<\/strong>. Mrs. Dubrovin has worked in education for 11 years and has been an Oxford School District employee since 2017. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in elementary education from the University of Mississippi and a master\u2019s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keith Scruggs \u2014 Oxford Intermediate School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Keith Scruggs<\/strong> is a 6th grade social studies teacher at Oxford Intermediate School<\/strong>. He has worked in education for 13 years and has been an Oxford School District employee since 2015. Mr. Scruggs holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in radio, television, and film from the University of Southern Mississippi<\/strong>. He was named a 2022 STAR Teacher at Oxford High School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LaNatra Pegues \u2014 Oxford Middle School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

LaNatra Pegues<\/strong> is a 7th grade math teacher at Oxford Middle School<\/strong>. Mrs. Pegues has worked in education for 8 years and has been an Oxford School District employee since 2022. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in mathematics from Mississippi Valley State University<\/strong> and a master\u2019s degree in child and family studies from the University of Southern Mississippi.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ben Logan \u2014 Oxford High School<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ben Logan<\/strong> is an Algebra I and AP Precalculus teacher at Oxford High School. He also serves as the 9th grade head football coach and an assistant varsity football coach. Mr. Logan has worked in education for 8 years and has been an Oxford School District employee since 2017. He holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in math education from the University of Mississippi, a bachelor\u2019s degree in public policy from the University of Mississippi, and a master\u2019s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
