{"id":152413,"date":"2025-10-07T12:14:21","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T17:14:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=152413"},"modified":"2025-10-07T12:14:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T17:14:23","slug":"new-jersey-credit-card-fraud-totaling-61035-leads-to-arrest-of-oxford-mississippi-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/new-jersey-credit-card-fraud-totaling-61035-leads-to-arrest-of-oxford-mississippi-man\/","title":{"rendered":"New Jersey Credit Card Fraud Totaling $61,035 Leads to Arrest of Oxford, Mississippi Man"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On October 2, 2025, a detective with the <strong>Oxford Police Department<\/strong> was contacted by <strong>Randolph, New Jersey<\/strong> <strong>Police Department<\/strong> about a credit card fraud case taking place where the suspect was within the city limits of <strong>Oxford<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon speaking with a detective from Randolph Police Department, an Oxford Police detective learned that between 05\/28\/25 and 06\/13\/25, 14 transactions were made on the victim\u2019s account without consent. Transactions totaled $61,035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After reviewing security camera footage, detectives were able to identify <strong>Lawrence Hakim II<\/strong>, 29, of Oxford, <strong>Mississippi <\/strong>as the suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hakim II was taken into custody and charged with 14 counts of Credit Card Fraud.
