The Oxford School District<\/strong>\u2019s choir programs are celebrating a remarkable achievement, with a record-breaking 63 OSD students in grades 5-12 selected to participate in the 2025 Mississippi All-State Honor Choir<\/strong>. The honorees include 10 fifth graders from Central Elementary School<\/strong>, 9 students from Oxford Intermediate School<\/strong>, 24 from Oxford Middle School<\/strong>, and 20 from Oxford High School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The All-State Honor Choirs represent some of the best singers from Mississippi<\/strong>, with students earning their spots through an audition process. This November, Oxford<\/strong>\u2019s All State Choir students will join fellow students from across the state to spend three days at the University of Southern Mississippi<\/strong> in Hattiesburg<\/strong>, where they will sing under the direction of nationally renowned conductors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This milestone reflects the talent and dedication of Oxford\u2019s choir students, as well as the leadership of their directors \u2014 Marsha Morgan<\/strong> (Central Elementary School), Briana Brown<\/strong> (Oxford Intermediate School), Dr. Hannah Ardrey<\/strong> (Oxford Middle School), and Dr. Thomas Ardrey<\/strong> (Oxford High School). A special thank you to school and district leaders, along with the Oxford Charger Athletic Booster Club<\/strong>, for their continued support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Thomas Ardrey, OHS Choral Director said, \u201cThe large number of students from the Oxford School District participating in the 2025 All-State Honor Choir is a reflection of our students’ dedication to excellence. That dedication is a reflection of the excellent teaching that our music educators provide for our students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
