On August 9, 2025, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/strong> received a report of a domestic violence incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victim reported being stabbed in the neck with a knife and received medical treatment at Baptist Memorial Hospital<\/strong> in Oxford<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the investigation, Investigators identified Rebecca McEwen<\/strong> (58 years old of Oxford, Mississippi<\/strong>) as the suspect. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Rebecca McEwen for Aggravated Domestic Violence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

McEwen was located and arrested on August 9, 2025 and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center<\/strong>. McEwen later appeared before a Justice Court<\/strong> Judge and issued a $10,000.00 bond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

McEwen is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
